Built differently. Built for change.
Verto is a Community Interest Company.
That's our legal structure — not a marketing position.
It means our assets and surpluses are locked, reinvested for community benefit. It means purpose isn't something we aspire to. It's something we're accountable for, built into how we operate.
We chose that structure deliberately, because we believe the way a business is built shapes the decisions it makes. When profit is the primary measure of success, certain choices become very difficult. When purpose is embedded in the structure of the business itself, those choices become easier — and the right ones become clear.
Balanced Engineering
The more efficient and effective our engineering, the more surplus we generate. And the more surplus we generate, the more we can invest in the things that matter — funding STEM and arts education, supporting local talent and creating pathways into the industry for people who wouldn't otherwise find them.
For us, good engineering and real community impact are equal.
Collaboration is our most powerful tool
We know that change works best when we work together. Our CIC structure goes further — it requires us to work closely with the communities and organisations our projects serve. Not just as consultants dropping in and out, but as genuine partners who understand what people need and are committed to delivering it.
We partner with councils, NHS Trusts, contractors and schools — organisations with real social value obligations and a genuine desire and commitment to do more than the minimum. We bring the technical rigour of a leading consultancy plus the agility and human approach of a business that is built differently.
Every client and project team is approached with senior expertise, honest advice and an engineer who measures success the same way they do. Because the best systems – and outcomes – are built together.
